Rosmarinus officinalis
Rosemary contains several potent antioxidants (such as caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid), high levels of vitamin E, and a number of powerful anti-inflammatory agents. Studies show that the carnosic acid, which is found in rosemary, may lower the risk of strokes and neurodegenerative diseases by protecting the brain from free radicals. Other benefits are thought to include relief from indigestion, improved mental capacity and protection from specific cancers.
